We made a few changes and have seen a significant drop in feedback around this, but still want to know your thoughts on how the experience for blocking auto-play can be improved. Continue to send your thoughts and suggestions via the Send Feedback option in the browser!

Why is it that edge only auto plays video's on MSN? Started with recent update. Use any other browser on MSN and no autoplay. Mmm MSN part of Microsoft?

Preventing auto-play would be especially helpful on iOS, where I can't yet install an extension like "Disable HTML5 Autoplay (Reloaded)" like I can on my Windows desktop.

MSN is a case in point which has annoying auto-play videos that get round the block and follow you around the screen.

I want to address the low bandwidth use-case: A solution should provide the option "Don't preload videos" so not only autoplay is disabled, but the video is not even loaded before interacting with it.

Need an option to block outright (user whitelisted sites only). Limit function is being bypassed / not working.

It doesn't look like some people know there is a flag that will let you enable block. However, over the last two month, I've seen lots of sites apparently figure out ways to get around the block option. More and more sites are having autoplay video even though I have the block option turned on. It can be miserable if you are on a slower internet connection or at work where you need all the bandwidth you can get. It also appears that certain Microsoft News sites will play video regardless of the setting.
