Add an option to remove/hide conversation tab

It would be great to have an option to remove or hide the conversations tab. Teams is a great way to post and link to team related spreadsheets or slideshows and doesn't require a chat function. Keeping one sometimes means there are chat posts that are missed because they are not expected.

Steps are given below Select Chat teams chat icon to open the chat list. Next to the conversation you want to hide, select More options More options button > Hide. Hide a chat The chat and chat history will be hidden until someone posts a new message to it, and you can always resume an old conversation that you've hidden as well. Unhide a chat Need to see a hidden chat again? Unhide a chat that you've hidden before by using search. In the Command box Select to start a search. at the top of Teams, search for the name of the person you were chatting with and select them. You'll see that the chat history is hidden (which you can choose to show by selecting it). teams hidden chat history The conversation will now show in your chat list on the left, but if you don't see it right away you can select Filter Teams filter icon to search for it. Once you've located the conversation in the chat list, select More options More options button > Unhide. Unmute a chat Select Show hidden chat history to see the conversation. Regards, Rachel Gomez

The re-occuring chat window after you have left a meeting or joined a different meeting is disturbing work. Chat window should be disabled after leaving the meeting.

If we can't hide / remove, then can we change the default tab that is shown when a team is opened to a different one.
